Abstract : The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, rooted in decades of historical grievances and territorial disputes, has led to recurring cycles of violence and suffering for both peoples. This article delves into the deep-seated historical factors fueling the conflict, examining the emergence of Hamas as a response to Palestinian grievances and Israeli security concerns. Against this backdrop of tragedy and loss, the article proposes a two-state solution as a pathway towards lasting peace and stability in the region. By delineating clear borders and acknowledging the legitimate aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians, a two-state solution offers a viable framework for coexistence and mutual recognition. Through diplomatic negotiations and international support, this article argues for the urgent need to transcend the cycle of violence and pave the way towards a future where Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace and security. This dissertation endeavors to fill this gap by comprehensively analyzing the landscape of kidnapping and ransom payment practices within the context of urban Cameroon.
